What we collect

When you use our quote or contact form, we collect:

• your name, phone number and email address
• your postcode and the service you're interested in (quote form)
• your description of the job or your message
• any photos you choose to send us

We collect similar information if you contact us by phone, email or Facebook. Photos you send may show your property, so please avoid including people or anything you'd rather we didn't see.

We don't use analytics or tracking on this website. Our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run the site securely.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to you and give you a quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
• To carry out work you've asked us to do. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
• To keep business and tax records. Our lawful basis is our legal obligation to keep accounts.

We only contact you about your enquiry or job. We don't send marketing, and we never sell or rent your information.

Who we share it with

• Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and processes form submissions, including any photos, on our behalf. Netlify is based in the United States.
• Google (Gmail) provides the email account where we receive form submissions and emails from you.
• Our accountant and HMRC, where needed for accounts and tax.

We only share what's needed, and these providers may only use your information to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

• If your enquiry doesn't become a job, we delete your details and photos after 12 months.
• If we do work for you, we keep your details for 6 years after the job, as required for our accounts and tax records.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you (the right to access)
• ask us to correct information that's wrong
• ask us to delete your information
• ask us to restrict or stop using your information
• object to how we use your information
• ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere (data portability)

Keeping it safe

This website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to your information to the people who need it to deal with your enquiry or job.
